  3. San Francisco Public Works (Public Works), a department of the City and County of San Francisco (City), seeks to award one grant to a fully established 501(c)(3) non-profit entity based in San Francisco through the evaluation and selection process as described in the RFP.
  4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: San Francisco Public Works seeks a nonprofit partner to support workforce participants in developing careers beyond the program by connecting them to employment and apprenticeship opportunities at Public Works, other public agencies, non-profit partners, and private companies. Workforce development will provide litter reduction and pressure washing services (defined for the purposes of this grant as sidewalk sweeping, pressure washing and cleaning of litter refuse receptacles, reporting and notifying of any graffiti, malfunctioning, damaged and/or missing litter refuse receptacle parts and materials) in the City of San Francisco to ensure safe, clean, and accessible citywide litter refuse receptacles on sidewalks and rights-of-way. The Maximum Budget Request is $3,359,056 for a term of 24 months with an option to extend for a maximum of 12 additional months.
  5. TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: A pre-proposal conference will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Proposers are strongly encouraged to attend to obtain information regarding the program, but attendance is not required.
  6. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted no later than Monday, March 10, 2025 at 2:00 PM by email to Grant Administrator at: ContractAdmin.Staff@sfdpw.org.
  7. SUBMISSION: The Department may modify the RFP prior to the Proposal due date by issuing an Addendum to the RFP; please check https://bsm.sfdpw.org/ContractAdmin/Login.aspx for updates. Applicants shall submit their application as specified and required in the RFP no later than Friday, April 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM Late submittals may not be considered unless you provide evidence of a software error.
