  3. San Francisco Public Works (Public Works), a department of the City and County of San Francisco (City), seeks to award up to one grant to a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Francisco through the evaluation and selection process as described in the attached RFP.
  4. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: San Francisco Public Works (Public Works), a department of the City and County of San Francisco (City), seeks to award up to one grant to a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in San Francisco through the evaluation and selection process as described in the attached RFP. A Successful Proposal to provide subsidized summer employment and workforce development to youth who might not otherwise be exposed to professional development with a public agency will be funded for a term of five (5) months. Due to the expedited nature of this request, the City estimates a start date of April 27, 2026 with a goal of recruiting students before June 3, 2026, the last day of school at the San Francisco Unified School District. The Maximum Budget Request for the initial project term is an estimate and subject to change at any point during the grant term pending final budget approval by the City and County of San Francisco.

  6. Questions regarding the RFP must be submitted no later than Tuesday April 7, 2026 by 12:00 PM by email to Grant Administrator Dulce A. Garcia at: ContractAdmin.Staff@sfdpw.org
  7. SUBMISSION: Digital files of the RFP, Addenda and other supporting documents may be downloaded at no cost at https://bsm.sfdpw.org/ContractAdmin/Login.aspx Applicants shall submit their application as specified and required in the RFP no later than 8:00 AM Pacific Time on Monday, April 13, 2026. The Department may modify the RFP prior to the Proposal due date by issuing an Addendum to the RFP; please check https://bsm.sfdpw.org/ContractAdmin/Login.aspx for updates. Late submittals may not be considered unless you provide evidence of a software error.
